Painting the Town Beige
Went out shopping for gifts yesterday.
I have to be honest, it was the first time I've been in a (none-food) retail environment since before christmas. I should have mob-blogged this, I had my communicator device with me, so could have got some grainy, low-res images to illustrate.
The colour-pallet of the website I've just got sign-off of the visual was everywhere, from Next through M&S down House Of Fraser, through Clarks, not only in the clothing, but soft-furnishings and tableware depts too. Of course, its not exactly there, but the bright duck-shell blues with deep browns, soft beiges and blush pinks.
I'm half proud that I'm in-tune enough to know whats going on out there, half ashamed that its so high-street, and in three weeks time is going to be 'so last season'. Damn.
